This beautiful flag is part of the new collection of "Storytelling on Fabrics" by Mabe.
When, many years ago, Mabe was working for a fabric wholesaler, he unknowingly cultivated an interest in textiles and the art that uses fabrics as the main focus of the piece. He takes inspiration from the traditional craft of quilt making and the creation of flags, where a story or a message is sewn and created with fabric.
Mabe started this collection when a commission proposal came through and seeing how special the end result is he just couldn’t stop there.
This version of The Daydreamer is made of black heavy cotton sew onto natural brown linen.
It is 100x80 cm in size and can be easily displayed using the three loops of fabric sewn at the back and a wooden rod or branch for a more rustic look.
